Cute Puppies. A Wonderful Addition to the Family.

By John Gray

My hubby and I have three pleasing children who in turn have numerous friends. It seems that every single one of them has a pet, maybe a dog, cat, fish or bird. Perhaps you already know where this story is going. For a while, the kids have been asking for a pet puppy. I really had not though properly about the idea so told them I would think about it.

I didn't intend to sound mean to the children when I said I would think about it, but they're not quite old enough to realise that a puppy can be hard work. However there is enough room in the house for a dog. We also have a garden at the back and front so the dog could run about in there. My husband and I, started looking more into it without telling the kids. We wanted to find out about different breeds.

Apparently Labradors are gentle and good with children while West Highland Terriers are yappy and poodles are fast-growing. We looked at pictures of puppies for sale on a website, and fall in love with a fine-looking Labrador pup. We also read how to take care of puppies and dogs, in other words hygiene, extremely important when around young children. It's seemingly essential to check out the parents of the puppy to make sure the breed is good as well as what food to give it. There was also topics discussed like worming and vaccinations.

After a chat we decided to acquire a Labrador puppy. The kids were so overjoyed that the next day we visited a number of pet shops. While there were numerous puppies for sale, we could not find a Labrador. We also tried the animal rescue centres, but there were no Labrador puppies. The kids got a bit upset so we promised them we would get together later on and have a look on the internet.

The internet, is great for telling about the different breeds of dogs for sale as well as various other animals. Surprisingly there are a lot of dogs and pups that are on the house, as long as they are taken care of in good homes.

After further research we found reputable websites selling puppies as well as buy and sell sites. Breeders and pet owners from all over the UK advertise puppies to be bought and sold online. There were countless gorgeous little things to choose from, however we stuck to our guns until we found a Labrador pup.

We chose a Labrador pup because of their disposition and wondrous personality. They are obviously easy to train, conscious and very well-mannered when older. Labradors are ideal around kids and are very protective of their owners. Our new puppy called Buster is now part and parcel of the family. The kids idolise him and he in turn loves them, we're all so ecstatic.
