To have a dog can be associated in having another part of the family just like when you have a new brother or sister. It is a must that you give their most basic need as well as health-related needs and sociological needs. It is also vital for the family to pick the best breed that is okay for everybody.

Before you go to the pet shop, you should already have an idea about the breed that you would like to have. The pet shop owner might end up showing you so many breeds to choose from, and you might just be confused once you see them. On that case, you might just end up buying a dog that you do not want. As we have mentioned, it is also a must to consider the members of the family when adopting a dog. For example if we have children, the dog breed that we should choose child-friendly. The very first on our list are the Chihuahuas. Chihuahuas love to play and have a short walk in the park or the garden. During the early times, a Chihuahua is only the pet of those that are in the upper class but today, almost anyone can adopt a Chihuahua as their pet. Since they are so small, many people find them to be extremely cuddly. Chihuahua's originated in Mexico. Although many dog owners prefer to have Chihuahuas because of their small feature, they are just concerned on their health because most Chihuahua has tracheal problems or eye concern.

Next breed is the Greyhound. Greyhounds are the fastest breed because of their athletic and tall figure. Hunters bring Greyhounds to hunt deer, wolves and boars. Greyhounds have an instinct to hunt smaller animals than them that is why many hunters bring their Greyhound during their hunting expeditions. Today, most Greyhounds are not only for hunting or racing but they are also considered pet for some households. Another dog breed is the Boxer which originated in Germany. Most boxer's are aggressive that is why they are used for fighting and in baiting bulls.

The whippet are small version for greyhound, and they are commonly used as a vermin hunter or a mouser. Whippets are healthy animals, and they are not prone to health concerns, only few concerns on eye defect is the only problem with whippets aside from that there is no more. In some countries, whippets are considered the poor man's race horse. In general, they are friendly even to visitors. The Brussels Griffon, is also known Belgian Griffon, Griffon Bruxellois or Griffon Belge that originates from. The Brussels Griffon are usually used as a mouser. This breed is too little that it only stands from 7 up to 8 inches. The English Springer Spaniel are originally a hunting dog. They must be trained properly if you want to adopt them as a pet.

Next is the Alaskan Malamute that are of course found in the Arctic or cold region. The reason why they can survive on an extremely cold climate is that they have a thick and coarse coat that serves as their defense to extreme coldness. The Alaskan Malamute is those dog breeds that carry sleds that have heavy loads. The Alaskan Malamute is considered to be working dogs, and they are the oldest breed of dog in the Arctic. Some people in the Arctic make use of them as a means of transportation, they just attached a sled to the dog and it can carry heavy loads even at a long distance. Another breed is the Terrier. Fox Terrier is so smart that easily respond to a behavioral modification training.

In summary, there are still more dog breeds out there, so before you rush in to adopt one, consider reading some information about the breed the you like and se whether you can afford to have them or not. It is also your responsibility as the owner to train them or let other professional dog trainer or dog training service teach them just like a Maryland dog trainer, Baltimore dog training, Annapolis dog training, Severn dog training, Maryland dog training and Crofton dog training service or the local dog trainer in your place that is certified professional to train dogs.
