Good Herbs For The Treatment Of Anxiety And Panic Attacks

Someone who suffers from anxiety or panic attacks often experiences a lower quality of life. If the anxiety is severe enough, people find themselves at home, unwilling to venture out in the world for fear of rising panic attacks. Luckily, there are a great deal of natural remedies for anxiety and/or panic attacks.

People have found a lot of ways to alleviate their anxiety symptoms like homeopathics, herbs and good old-fashioned exercise to name a few. Since there are so many natural remedies for anxiety, we will only discuss a small amount of them here today.

Things like homeopathics are gaining momentum as a natural anxiety remedy. Typically, you would find a holistic doctor specializing in Chinese medicines, herbs and medicines that have been developed in the last few decades. But you can still find a few of them in specialty health food stores or drug stores these days.

You may find the medicine on the shelf in these stores with labels to help you pick the right one. You may see bottles with labels like "anxiety" or "calming medicine" or something similar. It is not advised that you simply try one of these without knowing exactly what it is though. If you could get to a holistic doctor, they can treat you much better, as there is more to it than just matching symptoms with medicine.

As part of holistic medicine they don't believe in a one-for-all type of approach with medicine. since people are different, you could have a reaction to something that may not produce the same effect in another person who tries that potion. Always ask a doctor when trying to get into holistic medicine.

Another type of remedy that is similar to a homeopathic remedy is an herb. Like homeopathic remedies, herbs have been around for a long time and have been used by many people. There are a lot of people who claim that herbal remedies have cured them of various ailments that they have had. When it comes to a herbal natural remedy for anxiety there are many choices that you could possibly have which is good news.

If you have reactions to certain ones there are still plenty of others to try. A popular herb for anxiety is velarian which produces sedative like qualities in some people who use it. If you like some nice herbal relaxing tea for your anxiety, you can try chamomile as well. If you become allergic to chamomile it may be because of its relation to pollen so watch out for side-effects while using it. Another sedative like herb that is widely known is catnip. While each of these herbs also treat other things, they are found to be some of the best sedatives.

In case you don't like herbs or don't have the money to spend, there are other really great free natural remedy for anxiety. Regular exercise is proven to work wonders for anxious bodies and minds alike.

It has been shown that people that are more happy and in better health are the ones who get regular exercise in their lives. And folks who do yoga have shown that they stay calm long after they are finished exercising for the day. You could easily find some free videos online to follow along with if you wish.
