Some Reasons Why Cockapoo Puppies Can Make Ideal Companions

By Kerri Turner

The raising and training of a dog from a puppy to an adult can be both rewarding and frustrating at the same time. The animal in question will eventually become a companion that is entertaining, good company, and loyal. In the meantime though there will often be times that can make an owner believe that their pet will never learn what they are teaching. Patience then is needed in order to ensure that the dog does not get erroneous ideas. The intelligence that many dog breeds or mixes, such as cockapoo puppies, are known for will help in that endeavor.

One thing that many breeders will quickly bring up is that the cockapoo is not a breed in the technical sense. It is considered something of a deliberate mix of a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle. This action is done in the hopes that the offspring that results will have inherited all the best characteristics of both breeds. Including smarts, cleverness, mellowness, a good personality, and the coat that does not irritate an allergy sufferer and is not known for shedding.

A mix of this kind with the right personality can be something to behold. They are patient, loving, calm, and fun to have living in one's home. Their sweet disposition, loving nature, and patience make many feel that they are a joy to have around. It can also make the training of them in the necessary disciplines much easier to accomplish.

The fact that these pups have inherited a coat that is like a poodle's is something that many consider to be a big plus. Especially for those individuals that have been known to react in a negative fashion to dog hair. This is due to the fact that there is little possibility for finding clumps of hair around the house because of the fact that the coat of a poodle is not known for shedding.

Allergies and the reactions that they cause are reduced to a minimum as well. Those dogs that have poodle ancestry often have a hypoallergenic property to their fur. Thus becoming something of an ideal choice for the individual that is a dog lover with an allergy to typical dog hair.

Caring for a puppy though will often mean that one will need to bathe, feed, water, and brush them on a regular basis. Actions that are all to familiar to someone who has owned a dog before. Performing these routine tasks as well as providing the best living conditions means that they can live a long and happy life.

In order to discover the right puppy to add to the household one will need to accomplish a bit of fact finding. This usually entails the seeking out a reputable breeder. They should also have both parents on site to allow for the observation of them by those that could become owners of their offspring. This will allow one to determine some possible characteristics that may have been inherited by their pups.

Cockapoo puppies are often considered an ideal choice for the dog lover who is allergic to the hair found on the average canine. Thus allowing them to have the companionship without the sneezing, watery eyes, and sniffles that can be the result of an adverse reaction. Therefore if one finds themselves relating to this situation in any then perhaps it is time to look into acquiring one of these mixes as a friend.
