Knowing The Traits And Characteristics Of European Dobermans For Sale

By Leslie Ball

Dobermans are basically companion dogs and very protective. They are more like a body guard than a watch dog for properties. Also, they are also one of the most intelligent dog breeds. Some of them are outgoing and bold, some are suspicious, mellow and reserved. All Dobermans are loving and sweet family pets.

If you fail to exposed them to early socialization, they tend to be shy, or overly protective and sharp. Thus, puppies at their early ages should be socialized and exposed to people and animals. Before buying European Dobermans for sale, make sure to understand all their behaviors and traits. Some of them love to chew anything they see, such as your clothes, remote control and shoes when they are left unsupervised.

They require intelligent handling as they are not the pet for everyone. Basically, they are best with indoor life and human interactions. This breed is not for most dominated owners and those who would not want a pet that demands attention. They do not like being outside away from their families though exposing them to the heat of the sun on cold days is more enjoyed.

They can also easily adapt to the city once they are provided with physical and mental exercises. Most of them need an exercise regularly to boost their energy level. They also work best on both obedience and agility but sensitive to connection and responding only to calm training than using physical force.

If you go for a breeder, just be sure to look for someone who strives for good temperament and good health and even for working ability. If you buy from poor breeders or someone who raise their dogs incorrectly, there is also a tendency that you will encounter an aggressive, destructive and timid Doberman. If you prefer a rescue Doberman, having patience and clear understanding about them are vital. It also takes several weeks for the dogs to adjust to the new environment.

The way you introduce them to your home can either make or break the adoption result. There are some people who have fears in these breeds but for some, they are a perfect choice for a companion in the home. They are not naturally destructive and aggressive, they are social creatures, highly sensitive who enjoy the company of people and other animals.

As mentioned earlier, this is not a breed for everyone. They need mental stimulation and consistent training. Dobies are loving, affectionate and make amazing family dogs but they need to be socialized at early ages. The Doberman was originally bred to be a protection dog so they to be fearless, courageous, intelligent and loyal.

They still possess those working traits today. They also excel not only for the show ring, but in sporting rings as well. Thus, if you want to own a dog that is large and strong, yet sleek and elegant looking, choosing a Doberman might be right for you. So, before buying one, make sure to prepare yourself for a huge responsibility.

Knowing all these traits and characteristics will give you ideas on how care for them and ways to raise them well. This is also the best way to understand them and how to deal with them effectively. All of these are important so that you can also get the best outcome.
