By Nancy Bailey

Every rider needs to learn and master the necessary tips that can make them better by the day. Whether you are a professional or a newbie, it is essential that you pay attention to your trainers when they are giving some helpful tips that will keep you safe and make you better at horse riding. There are frequent dressage training workshops that are organized, and you need to get your time to attend and learn something new.

Some people may think they know all the information pertaining horse riding, thus do not need to attend the workshops. The most prudent ones will know even a professional may at times forget some basic rule and tip, and thus attending these workshops is important since you will be reminded the details you require and make you much better at the sport.

A plan is necessary for one to become great at horse riding. Never show up just for the sake and tell the trainers and instructors how limited your time is. Give it your all, and you will leave after mastering the lesson of the day. Do not limit your stay on the ground and let your timetable involving other matters impair your learning.

One should have a proper mastery of controlling the horse. Any other perfection you dream of will come after you get the mastery of handling the animal. One should use the walls of the barn to help them stabilize as they learn to get balance when they mount the animal. Moreover, you should get enough time and practice this requirement until you eventually become perfect.

Some people have difficulties managing their bodies while they are atop the animal. This can be quite a challenge, and the sooner you deal with it, the better. Therefore, struggle to learn how to make your body respond, balance and make overall coordination that matches the commands given by the brain and the perception the animal makes.

The horse is required to move at different rates according to situation and occasion. You should know when to make it run faster and when to slow it down. You must as well know how to maintain some steady movement, whether it is at high speed or slowly. Since the animal is a docile one and innocently responds to the command given, it will honestly confuse you if you give the wrong command.

The animal is like a human, and it gets tired at times. As a professional and a good master or mistress, learn the different signs your animal shows to indicate some feeling. When tired, you should let it rest and do not force it to keep running and moving. Learning the personality of this animal is a secret towards having it coming through for you when you really need it.

Finally, you need to know the right posture and position for your saddle. Different moves and occasions call for a change and a suitable positioning of the seat. You should not confuse the positions at different times since it can turn out disastrous if caution is not applied.
