To Find Animal Rescue Bandon Is The Best Location To Check Out

By Matthew Butler

In any ecosystem, animals are a very important part just like trees. A lot of drastic activities could happen on earth if animals were removed and the ultimate losers would be human beings. Human being started the domestication process because of the need to relate with the environment. Nowadays, various animals which were thought to be wild before are now staying with people in their homes comfortably. When in search of Animal rescue Bandon should be given priority.

However, both wild and domestic animals face a lot of threats from human activities. For instance, there are millions of domestic animals that are roaming the streets in the US because they do not have a permanent home. Similarly, very many wild animals have their habitats destroyed, rendering them homeless. Homelessness of animals usually predisposes them to the threat of death, which if left to occur for a long period, may lead to extinction of species.

In the US only, around 5 to 7 million companion pets are taken to animal shelters since they have no permanent homes. The most shocking thing is that between 3 and 4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year since no one is there to adopt them. Unluckily, the US taxpayer incurs a cost of about 2 billion dollars on catching, sheltering, euthanizing, and lastly disposing millions of animals annually.

The number of homeless animals outnumbers that of homeless people by a factor of 5 to 1. Pets that end up in shelter homes are either found by animal control or their owners give them up. Research indicates that more than 20 percent of all people that leave animals in shelters adopted them from shelters too. And the percentage of dogs that enter local shelters is only 25 percent.

The task of catching and eliminating stray animals from streets is done by animal rescue groups. Nevertheless, they do not offer the animals they have best care since they have insufficient resources. Some shelters are funded only by well-wishers. This limits their funding, something that makes them to provide poor shelter and care for animals found.

There are many animal rescue groups operating within various states in the US. Some of these groups specialize in the type of animal breeds they accommodate whereas others take in every type and breed of animal. For example, rescue groups for reptiles, Siberian cats, Egyptian maus, ragdolls, Labrador retrievers, and German shepherds exist.

There are groups that have specialized in saving and rescuing wild animals from being extinct. For example, human infringement has put lots of animals at risk of extinction because they have modified or destroyed their habitats. The polar bear is an example of the animals that have had their habitats destroyed. Increasing reports of polar bear encounters are being recorded as they migrate from their natural homes.

These encounters put both bear and man in danger with each other. As a result, bear population is reducing drastically and if efforts are not taken to save them, they may die off. As such, there are rescue groups that have been established to rescue bear and provide them a home and food.
