Read About Child Abuse Survivor Stories

By Corinne Daniel

There are a lot of child abuse survivor stories from different people. There are so many accounts these days, that it becomes hard to keep track of all the incidents that occur. The problem with children being abused is that they do not know that they could report it. Since they have no sense of authority over anyone, these incidents happen just about everyday, unnoticed by the people around children.

There are about five children deaths every single day due to abuse and neglect. This number has been constantly increasing yearly over the decade, which only shows the increasing neglect the society has towards children. What this is, is a hidden epidemic. A lot of people turn a blind eye towards this very issue because rarely can they do something significant towards this cause.

The abuse for children knows no limits or bounds. It happens at every single social and cultural heritage. It also doesn't limit itself to any social and economic level. It does not matter if the kid's family is rich or poor. If there is someone abusing the kid, then it is a case worth looking into.

The United States has the highest number of neglect and corruption, with more than five children dying every day due to this cause. Take note that more than half of this number is the death of children that are under the age of four. A lot of kids under this age are more susceptible to more neglect because of their incapacity to report the incidents that are occurring. These kids also rarely know that they are being neglected because of their young age.

A lot of these incidents are also due to sexual abuses. It is interesting and horrifying to find that almost ninety per cent of the children who are sexually abused know their perpetrator in a personal way. It is more common for a kid to be abused by someone they know than they are to be abused by a complete stranger.

A lot of kids who have been sexually abused are likely to get pregnant at a very early age. These kids usually bear child in their preteens and teen years. Because of their corrupted sexual experience, they may hold no importance to practicing safe sex, which makes them a lot more vulnerable to having sexually transmitted diseases.

There are different kinds of corruption happening. One type is the physical abusing. This process involves violent and brutal physical acts directed towards the child in a deliberate manner. The kid's body is hurt by hitting, strangling, or burning, all which cause pain and suffering for the kid. There is also psychological abusing. This is humiliation and embarrassment aimed towards the kid, carried out by words and verbal punishment.

There is also a type called negligence, where the kid's needs are not met. The kid is not provided with safety, shelter, protection, affection, and food. A lot of people may survive their abused childhood years into a stronger and wiser person. Hear out their child abuse survivor stories and help raise awareness in your community.
