Facts On Cavachon Breeders That One Should Familiarize With

By Stephanie King

The cavachon is a very unique breed of dog. This breed originated from the United States and was due to a coincidental mating between two different breeds. This was between a cavalier king and a Bichon fries. They are quite small in size and the average dog will weigh between twelve and twenty pounds. When it comes to height, the parent gene is the determinant factor. There are several things that one should know about cavachon breeders.

Despite the small size, these creatures are quite hairy in nature. They have a thick, curly and fluffy coat. This is especially for the grown breeds. Unlike other breeds also, this dog category rarely sheds any hair. This allows the hairs to grow to excellent lengths. The fact that they do not lose hair makes them good for even the people with allergy complications. The popular dog here is either white or brown with patches.

A cavachon is the most friendly and amiable animal that one can come across. This makes them wonderful companions especially in the house. This makes them preferable by most people in the community. Their gentle and well nurtured character makes them a wonderful addition to the household. This breed barks only when approached by an unfamiliar figure. They however cannot be used for security purposes.

Unlike other breeds of dogs, this particular one is quite gentle and affectionate. They are also very playful and have a fervid desire to please those around. This makes it be a good option for children playmates. The amicability is not limited to only humans but also all other kinds of pets in the homestead. One should be careful however as mixed breeds can be quite unpredictable when it comes to temperament.

Despite the active nature, these creatures are not so suited for the outdoor setting. They are more comfortable in an indoor and limited space. Their playful nature is limited to a small space. They should not be left in an open area as they have tendencies to run off and disappear when in an unfenced area. The owner should try to walk them every evening to burn unnecessary energy.

Training is essential for all dogs to fit in a house setting. Being intelligent creatures, comprehension and mastering of commands comes very easily. The trainer should not make a mistake of letting the puppy imagine that it is in control. This will make it develop the small dog syndrome. This trainer must have ample experience in dealing with dogs specifically.

For this creature to remain healthy and jovial for long, it is very crucial that they are properly taken care of. By now it is common knowledge that this is a high maintenance dog that requires a lot of special care. Regular bathing and brushing of the fur is very crucial in prevention of matting. The groomer should also be visited every once a while.

The cold weather tends to affect these dog species so much. In order to avoid such problems, the dog should be left to grow more hair for insulation purposes. They should also be kept indoors where temperatures can be effectively regulated. It is also crucial that they are kept away from dirty and staining environments.
