Cats & 3 Methods, By Assisi, For Keeping Them Fit

By Robin Setser

Cats, as you can imagine, are some of the most challenging animals to keep in shape. Most of them rely on indoor environments, which aren't exactly the most conducive for exercise and fitness in general. Cats still have to be in shape, though, which is where the expertise of Assisi and other animal care experts can come into the picture. By adhering to these 3 tips, the ability to keep your cat in suitable physical condition will come about more easily.

To start off, a cat's fitness is going to hinge on the type of food it is given. Seeing as how cats consume much protein and little in the way of carbs, regimens should be built around this fact. Make sure that portions are controlled as well, especially when it comes to wet food, which has more calories to account for. This may go without saying, but you have to manage your cat's food intake. When this is done, your pet's fitness level will grow stronger.

For those who would like to keep their cats as fit as possible, try to see if there are activities your pets engage in more than others. To illustrate this point, maybe your cat is someone who is more active during the afternoon. This is where they will run around more often, as well as leap from the floor onto structures which might have been seen as too high for them. Preferences are crucial, especially when it comes to playtime.

It's easy to see that playtime is most important, and I'm sure that authorities such as Assisi would attest to this. Make sure that you set time aside for playtime, especially if your pet has a certain preference that cannot be overlooked. For example, if your cat prefers to play with you, then you may want to focus on using a feather-ended cat teaser. This is just one of the many toys that will keep your cat's attention, and it's ensured that it will be a favorite for some time to come.

As you can see, there are multiple attributes which play into how fit a cat might be. The food they eat can play a role, which goes without saying, but their amount of movement can be just as notable. In order to become a better cat owner, it's important to understand these and work around them. Once you're able to do this, you'll be happy to know that your cat's overall fitness level, and well-being in general, will increase in due time.
