There Are Quite A Few English Bulldogs For Sale Out There

By Ryan Perry

Taking on the responsibility of becoming a pet owner is not something that should be taken likely. Any individual that decides that they are going to become the new owners of a dog should be aware that it's a serious role. There are many different dogs to adopt and no matter what the public says one of the friendliest dogs are the English bulldogs for sale.

The English bull dog is a sweet dog with a soft disposition. Dependable and a great companion for kids, this dog will make a good friend to any child. Fortunately these dogs require a little less maintenance as they don't like exercise by pure choice.

The weight of this dog can vary from +/-50-60 lbs depending if it's a female or male dog. They have short faces with heavy wrinkles and are +/- about 17 in in height. Their coat is short making for clean dogs, with colors that vary from solid red to fawn or white tiger stripe effects.

As they are not sporting dogs at all their placid personality goes well with big or small families that welcome them home. Bred however for bull baiting, these dogs can be great watch dogs. This also makes them a little aggressive when with other dogs as they are territorial.

English dogs are great for apartments as they do not require a ward to run and play in. The only real problem with owning English bulldogs is the fact that they are noisy sleepers. They snore and wheeze when they are asleep and when they are awake they drool a lot making them a little messy to have.

The organ of this dog is the Britain isles, with the main purposes of bull baiting. A story that is known to some is the one of the dog that chased the bull through the streets on the English town Stamford in 1209. This had such a positive effect on the earl, so impressed that be named this an official sport.

Mated for participation in the sport of bull baiting, these animals come from the Isles of Britain. A take that is told dating back to 1209 is one of a vicious English bulldog that chased a bull throughout the streets of the English town in Stamford. This impressed the earl of the town at the time so much that he turned this into an official sport for years to come.

Remember that should you be buying this dog for a friend, family or to be taken home, any pet addition is a big job. Yes there are higher maintenance dogs out there that require much more from a human however this is still a big responsibility. Should you see some English bulldogs or any other breed being offered up for sale, remember that this decision is to be thought out thoroughly before it's a permanent one.
