Why You Should Carefully Plan Your Chicken Coop Building Idea

Build Your Own Chicken Coop With Precise Planning

For the men who have already made a chicken pen, they're going to agree that it is not an unimportant task as it needs major planning and management. Since life of living beings and intriguing eggs are in peril so I mean that all of the amateur and beginners take it seriously.

Planning won't take much of the time but it will make a dramatic difference on the overall outlook of coop and productivity of your chicken. A healthy, comfortable, stress free chicken is a productive chicken. Therefore, it's worth spending a bit more of your time doing careful research to ensure the end result is exactly what you want.

To start off always remember to draw a rough sketch with detailed measurements of floor, walls and roofs. You should start thinking about what can be done to increase ease and access to coop, for you and for the chicken as well. This will save you time and money in the future, so make sure to carefully plan the chicken coop design.

Since you will be building the chicken coop, so I am presuming that you will also be the one cleaning it. So the door should be big enough for you and not for the chickens. Make sure that you have the right tools and basic materials like wooden slabs and posts.

Finally before building the chicken coop, consider the number of chickens and the projected number, how many you want to own at the end of 3 month period. Your design and plan should be expandable without making major structural changes.

I imagine the rest is understood to you like predator protection, feeders, heating, lighting and ventilation, easy basic stuff, but that does not suggest that these areas have little need for planning. You want to give each area relative signification and then move toward the building part of chicken pen.
