Once you have found a breeder to buy your kitten from, you would be advised to go there and spend some time watching them. This way you will be able to see which one will suit you best of all. When they are still small they tend to be mischievous and very active. You will also be able to ask the breeder all the questions you can think of pertaining to the breeding of these animals.

It is also important to know how hold a cat you want to buy. Should you want an older cat, you would have to inform the breeder, or if you would prefer a small kitten, the breeders usually let them go at about 8 weeks old. By this time they are no longer feeding from the mother and on solid food.

One will have to get him some toys to play with as well as the most interesting scratch pad you can find. Bengals are very playful and will play fetch with the kids. They are also water lovers and be more than happy joining you in the bathroom for a shower or a bath. Do not be surprised if he gets up and tries to catch the dishes in the basin as you wash them.

Keep in mind, that as with any other animal, he is going to need his inoculations and vaccinations regularly in order to be in good health at all times. In order to get this done for him, you will have to take him to the local veterinarian clinic. Remember to find out where the closest emergency vet is as well, as emergencies happen to everyone and it is vital that you know where there is one. Most Bengal cat breeders will be able to advise you on such matters easily.
