A New Pet From Breeders Of Cavachon Puppies

By Marci Nielsen

Cavachon is a mixed breed, a hybrid breed where one parent is Bichon Frise and the other is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Typically, the objective of breeding two different pure bred dogs is to bring out the best characteristics of both breeds. Cavachon puppies are always a mixed breed, whether the puppies are bred from the two purebred breeds, or subsequent generations bred from two Cavachon dogs.

These pets are well suited to being indoor dogs because they are hypo allergenic and their coats shed very little. They are not extremely small dogs, but small enough to keep indoor living comfortable for both dog and owner. The smallest females are twelve pounds, while the smallest males are around sixteen pounds. The colors most commonly found on their coats are peach and white. However, they are also found to have two colors or in some instances the coats are tri colored.

Thanks to their intelligence and loving nature, the Cavachon breed has become quite popular. Most importantly for families with children, the dogs are just as loving towards children as they are towards adults. While they may bark at strangers or unexpected noises, do not expect your puppy to become a watchdog. It simply is not in his or her nature.

In general a mixed breed tends to have fewer health problems than a purebred dog. One of the problems with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the mitral valve disease, which can result in heart failure. Good breeders will not knowingly breed a Cavalier with this condition. Since dogs breed early in life, the condition may not be known. Be sure to ask your breeder about the health history of the purebred parents. Keeping in touch with the breeders in future years may also be helpful.

One weakness the Bichon Frise parent may pass only to its offspring is a disease of the immune system. This too is serious and may shorten the life of your pet by as much as fifteen years. Again, stay in touch with the breeder to make sure both parents remain healthy.

The breeders in Kent Oh are the best of the best. They take the time and love to train the litters early. They begin with house breaking and crate training. If your pet has mastered both of these skills, it will make the transition to his or her new home very smooth.

The Kent Oh breeders also begin housebreaking their puppies immediately. By the time the puppy is picked up by a new family, the job is almost done. As a new owner, you just need to continue the good habits that have been ingrained in your new pet.

These dogs make loving, caring pets that you and your family will cherish for many years. Not all breeders are created equal, so choosing a conscientious breeder is essential to the happy life you hope to share with your furry friend. It is not long before new owners realize their puppy is an important addition to the family,
