Dog Boarding And Training Colorado Springs And Elsewhere

By Enid Hinton

Any dog would be lucky to stay in Colorado as it is a beautiful State. Those getting to stay at Lucky Dog Boarding and Training Colorado Springs, CO are often some of the most pampered pets in the area. Though, it is important before staying anywhere in the State, especially Denver to inquire about any breeds which may be banned.

Colorado is one state in which this is the case. In 2003, Denver, gathered up all dogs considered dangerous and euthanized same, even those which had been family pets for years without incident. As such, pet owners may want to avoid boarding any of these breeds anywhere in Colorado, or in other areas in which such bans are in place.

Lucky provides a variety of services which help care for, and comfort your pet while away from home, or when simply feeling ill and unable to care for pets. These services include pet sitting, boarding, training and rescues. Unlike other kennels, in which pets are left to tend to themselves, Lucky provides an active pet sitter to care for pets.

One may make it to Colorado, only to have a pet confiscated and euthanized, if one does not inquire about banned breeds in the vicinity of a boarding facility. If dogs are banned in the area, and the pet gets out of a fenced area, it is highly possible this could happen. As such, it is always good to board any dog considered one of the dangerous breeds outside any areas in which this is the case.

Sadly, Denver and other areas in the state have now banned pit bulls and associated breeds. Whereas, dobermans, rottweilers, and others are also on the dangerous dog watch list in many areas. While labeled as a dangerous breed, it should be noted that any animal can be brought up to be kind, or mean, same with most humans.

Most resorts will allow dogs to play in group regardless of breed as long as the dog can pass a temper test, has up to date rabies and boardatello shots, and is in good health. All of which are just as important to the health of pets as well as the businesses boarding the pets.

Pet parents also need to provide both local and long distance phone numbers when traveling. For doggie day care and local services, a local number is usually proficient. If one does not have a contact in the area, then a secondary number is often requested.

It is often good to select a private resort over a corporate store when boarding a pet. To assure the pet has a place to stay upon arrival, it is important to inquire about any breeds which are either banned from the resort, the city or state in which one plans on boarding the pet.
