Invest In The All Natural Dog Treats Ny Pet Lovers Recommend

By Deborah Brooks

Dogs have been mans companion, and best friend for decades. Man and hound share a special symbiotic relationship, with each relying on each other for comfort and food and many other necessities. Living in the modern world means that one can afford to treat pets lavishly with all sorts of interesting items. The all natural dog treats NY pet lovers buy are a well worth the price.

Dogs are no longer bound to eating the scraps off humans tables, or the processed food that one purchases from the shops. The choice that they have for what they eat is massive, there are quite a few baking companies in NY that specialize in making doggy treats and only doggy treats, there is nothing on the menu for humans.

Not only do these bakeries produce only food specific to the canine kind, but these are also artisan bakeries. This means that the food is not produced in mass, instead it is baked usually on site with fresh ingredients and it is baked by hand.

Dogs are as vulnerable, if not more to the scourge of having a bad diet. This sudden influx of artisan dog biscuit bakeries are a reaction by dog owners to the bad diet that comes from their dogs eating factory produced foods. The dog food industry as with the human fast food industry is food that is produced in mass with ingredients that are often byproducts of a process that is used in making human food.

This quickness means that there have been corners cut by the industry that makes pet food and they may be putting unhealthy items in their foodstuffs, to preserve them or to make it cheaper to make them. One of the owners of a NY artisan pet food bakery opened up her shop because of how much weight her dog gained from eating industry standard pet food. This shocked her and so she researched what was going into her pets food and she found many unsettling chemicals and hormones being put into pet food for various purposes.

The artisan bakeries have many different options available for the discerning pup. Flavors like venison, Liver, Free range chicken are available in biscuit form and there are even doggy cupcakes, that look very close to being a human cupcake. These bakeries have vegan options as well for dogs, but they probably don't go as much for these flavors as they do for the more meaty and delicious ones.

However although these doggies treats are great for your hounds health and well being, they do cost more than your average treat. The price is probably what it is because of the price of the raw ingredients. Fresh, local and organic is often the more expensive kind of ingredients and this shows in the price of the cookies and cupcakes.

Dogs in NY and their owners have so many different options to choose from when it comes to choosing food. Not only are there thousands of human food shops around, both with good food and bad. There are now more and more canine specific food shops popping up, ensuring your dog is always spoilt for choice.
