Facts About Cavachon Puppies For Sale In MN

By Matthew Martin

Cavachons are a species of dogs that was formed by crossbreeding other breeds. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise are the two breeds used in the exercise. The development was performed in the US, but the species is now internationally recognized. Their popularity is highest in first world countries like Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, and their country of origin, the United States.

Because these dogs are a result of crossbreeding two other breeds, they are not considered to be a breed on their own. Instead, they are a hybrid or a crossbreed. Because of that, there is not international dog club that gives them recognition as a breed. However, the breeding and raising of the breed is governed by various regulatory organizations in various countries. Breeders of Cavachon puppies for sale in MN follow strict breeding practices aimed at improving and preserving the quality and important features of the hybrid.

At the moment, there are no recognized breed standards that breeders are required to follow in breeding the animals. This is partly because of the relatively young age of the hybrid. The first instance for the breed to appear was in 1996. This dog inherited most of the physical qualities of the parents. They are placed under the designer dog category in all classifications worldwide.

Many reasons can be attributed to the fast increase of the popularity of cavachons in the world. However, of all the reasons, two stand out more. The first reason is the beauty of the coat coupled with medium to long hair length and a beautiful face. Many pet fanciers find these qualities unbeatable.

The second reason is that the species is a low shedder. That implies that compared to other pedigreed and non-pedigreed breeds, it sheds its coat to a lower extent. Thus, their effect on people with allergies is very minimal. It sheds the coat less frequently and only sheds small amounts of hair. Another reason is that it is a good companion dog, capable of providing company as well as entertainment for the owner.

Cavachon is a breed of small dogs that has the males and females being the same in terms of height and weight. The fluffy coat takes on a wavy or curly appearance. The expressive eyes take a central position on the cute faces. The bodies although small, are very athletic in nature. Their ears are inherited from the long, floppy ears of the Cavalier.

The appearance of the species is very inconsistent among individuals. However, the texture and color of coats remains to be one of the major consistent qualities. The coat varies widely in color with major color shades including brown, red, black with white, white, tan, and tricolor. Parents pass color traits to the offsprings. Cavaliers often have various colors while Bichons are predominantly white in color.

Human company is a major requirement for proper thriving of these dogs. They show great affection and gentleness towards people. They exist harmoniously with other pets and dogs and enjoy human company. They make excellent lap dogs that never turn down a chance to be cuddled. Trainability in this species is very high and are eager learners.
