By Robert Reynolds

There is nothing better and more stress relieving than having a pet at home. These furry and fluffy companions are adorable and mostly very entertaining. Dogs are the best friends of mankind since they have been used as hunting companions and have been domesticated. Due to the different conditions that these pups have been raised, they have evolved into different breeds.

Without a doubt one of the most adorable breeds around is the bulldog. There are tons of Youtube videos to prove just that. But before you get your hands on English bulldogs for sale in Missouri pets, there may be some things you would need to consider like if the breed is actually for you. Different breeds have varying personalities and there are also some owners who may want to be more specific about the physical aspects of the animal.

Regardless, all of that is worth the love and affection that they give you on a daily basis. This is especially true with the English bulldog since they are really quite the gentle types. They may get into fights but this is only for territory and usually just against other bulldog males.

Do not expect this type to go jogging with you. Maybe the reason for their gentleness is that they do not have the energy for violence. They just want to eat, sleep and occasionally be flatulent. They seem to be the canine equivalent of pandas.

These canines moderately shed but removing them is just a point of using the right brush. As an owner stack on a special lotion to apply on them since to keep their folds clean. One drawback is how they are prone to skin and breathing problems due to their facial features.

Another issue is how their facial features may give them some breathing problems. This explains how they are least likely to be the type to run around and jog with you in the park. Since they rest a lot, they will be more likely to be advised to do some exercises to avoid obesity. These types of bulldogs are short and are closer to the ground so they may not be able to run fast.

Their being friendly and gentle makes them easy for first time dog owners. Basic grooming, training and knowledge of being a dog parent is all you need. Being a dog whisperer is not entirely required. Their diet depends on what will suit them, which may require experimentation for the first few weeks.

They may be quite stubborn with moving and being trained. Also they snore more often than they bark. Training them requires consistency and persistence. They tend to very possessive about their food, so it may be best to keep children and other pets away from them while they eat. There really is nothing more perfect for those who like to laze around and who are hogs about their food, than a dog that can match that.

Consistency is the key to training these pups. As smart beings they should easily pick up on cues and habits. The best and more popular method is through positive reinforcement like giving them treats if they do well. That way they will feel more compelled and motivated to do what you want.
