Exotic Shorthair Kittens And What Their Qualities Are

By Diane Stevens

Felines are one of the most sought after of pets, and breeds have certain qualities that aficionados want. There is often no difference between those who want cats in general, since most do not really have preferences for a breed. In fact, their requirements are few, and their welcome is large for most cats that come into a home.

Some breeds are those that are popular with many fanciers, and also taken in because they are trendy additions to a home. Exotic shorthair kittens are a choice for serious cat lovers who want new feline companions. Breeders or pet shops assure many things for those who get kits of this breed will appreciate the fact that it has some of the best traits for domestic living.

Many of the breeds considered exotic are often the most sensitive to allergies and diseases, and also have problematic grooming issues. Yet their owners now have a lot of vet or pet outlets that can readily remedy these concerns. But for this one breed, which is also called Shorthaired Persian, can be one without these issues, even as owners of other exotics will accept their shortcomings.

The adult feline of this breed is large, and will have many kinds of traits that will be excellent for those who have it at home. Felines for this type have a larger head, and a full coat that makes them look a lot larger than they really are. However they are big enough but will not tend to go outside and play hunting games or bring in all sorts of insects, which many cats tend to do.

They will need some care in terms of grooming, since they have medium thick coats. Mainly, this is done so that they are kept free of hairballs, and prevent those times when they start gagging behind the sofa. Or that they are given a good way to be comfortable, while being clean and looking cool as cats are meant to be.

The furry creatures have a great reputation for calm and being on the quiet side. A thing most sought after, among the many which this type answers. These are great then for most lifestyle, whether in the city or country, where they can be found in homes lying on bed and not being too much of a nuisance inside them.

But then, this is a breed that has a playful side, too, but the times that they show are rare, and not likely to break any dishes. This type of cat is sometimes called the Persian without pretension, in direct contrast to other breeds that are too playful and has a lot of special needs. The Persian is much fluffier, but the Exotics are cuter, with that unique knobby stance.

This is all about their having more muscular physiques, which occur naturally without exercise. Thus they will not be anything like types that grow very big and fat, and so eliminate one more concern that an owner can have. What is natural here is their being a low maintenance, adaptable, and very well adjusted pet.

The kits may be had through the breeders for them, and these may have some acceptable or standard patterns to go. The ones accepted are white or calico, Siamese color points, but will not accept patterns in solid colors. Faces found for the breed are easily distinguished by broader, flatter and shorter faces.
