For all beginners, some of you might think that choosing this as your house pet is weird. It is essential to prepare their proper diet plan, pet housing, observe temperature needs, and right humidity requirements. Crabs are usually found in most tropical regions and owners must copy their natural environment as much as possible.

Take note that buyers must choose the best species. It can be either Ecuadorian or Caribbean. The difference between the two is that the first one loves the sea while the second one likes inland living. Giving them a plastic container as their home is not a good choice. Better buy a durable glass terrarium and place three crabs as they love to mingle and socialize.

The interior's temperature must never go lower than seventy two degree Fahrenheit. You need to maintain this temperature to keep them alive and healthy. Buy a high tech equipment that can measure the container's temperature in accurate reading.

It is better that you are familiar of what to place inside the tank. Its floor materials need to have the similar texture with the coastal areas and the ocean. You can put some white sand, lighting tools, substrates, stones/pebbles, saltwater, small branches, little plans, and moss. Just remember that crabs love digging, your sand layers must be enough.

For their diet, give them meat, pellets, seafood, fruits, and vegetables. Crabs are omnivore creatures and so it will not be difficult to feed them. Give them also some vitamins and supplements.

Look for new hermit crab info and find reliable stores that offer new shells and accessories.
