A Thoughtful Welcome Home Puppy Gift Basket

By Toni Vang

Bringing home a new member of the family is always an emotional time. At one point, some may feel extremely happy, while others might feel insecure. The fact remains that there will be changes in the household, and on many levels. This is true whether one is bringing home a baby or a puppy. People's lifestyles will change, as will the routine. The dog has numerous needs, especially when it's very young and entering an entirely new environment with new people around him. There is no better way than to buy a useful welcome home puppy gift basket.

The new furry friend will need certain essentials to be happy in his new home. Thankfully, these baskets are designed specifically for them, keeping in mind numerous items that the new owners will need. These arrangements can be simple and can be quite elaborate, depending on one's budget, and who is preparing them.

For someone who is going to be a completely new owner of a pet, virtually everything will need to be purchased from the start. Others who have had pets before can also provide some hand-me-downs to the new family member. People can expect to find items like a doggy bone, which will allow the dog to gnaw at a bone, rather than on someone's slippers, or worse, furniture.

Training a new pup requires which will almost surely be included in the arrangement in the form of treats. Not only will they taste good, but it's also a great way to reward him when he does things the right way. Plus, it will keep him out of trouble, as they learn quickly when they get good rewards.

Almost always, one can expect to find a squeaky toy in these arrangements. The little furry pets simply love the squeaky sounds. At the same time, they can gnaw at something that won't get them into trouble. Moreover, it helps them get through their teething situation. Another favorite in the baskets is a couple of food samples which will allow the pet and the owner to select the appropriate choice.

Some arrangements may go further, including a leash and collar. If choosing such an arrangement, one should opt for those that contain leashes and collars specific for the breed and size of the dog. Custom arrangements could also include a name tag for the new pup, but this requires knowing his name in advance.

Still some others go further and include items like toothbrushes, dog clippers for cutting nails, special shampoos and conditioners, and the like. When choosing the arrangement, be sure to look for the various items that would be considered essential for new dog owners. The presentation in itself will say a lot about the quality of the items included.

A beautiful presentation is what it's all about, and will be mostly appreciated by the owners. Not only will they appreciated, but it will also reflect the thoughtfulness of he who is giving. Therefore, choose baskets where in themselves are quite sturdy, allowing them to be used elsewhere, for the purpose of recycling.
