It is a good idea to know what to feed your bunny before you bring it home. Good quality pellets are a very important part of a rabbit's diet but they need to eat other things as well. Hay is important not only because it gives their teeth something to work on but the fiber helps to keep their digestive system working properly as well.

A large pen is a great thing for your rabbit regardless of how large or small your bunny may be. A cage that you can buy in a pet shop will not usually have enough room in it for your bunny to be comfortable especially if it is not allowed to roam around your home most of the time.

When you get your new bunny home it is important to give it time to acclimate. Don't try and pick your bunny up until it knows you. Give it time to sniff you and get used to your scent. Once it trusts you it may become affectionate but this may take a while. Then you will likely have a loving pet to enjoy for years to come.
