Do You Know About These Hemorrhoid Treatments?

When you are suffering from hemorrhoids, you want to get fast relief, as you don't want this condition disrupting your life. While hemorrhoids can be distressing, they are usually not that hard to successfully treat.

Apple cider vinegar treatments for hemorrhoids is something you may have already heard about. This is a home remedy that has been proven effective for a wide variety of conditions, including hemorrhoids. Apple cider vinegar is useful for hemorrhoids due to anti-inflammatory properties, and it also has anti-bacterial properties, as well. All you need to do is add a small amount to water and drink it daily to treat yourself. While there are some folks who will advocate applying topically; we advise against because some have reported feeling irritation with the direct application.

To treat hemorrhoids you should sit in a warm bath several times per day. The water should be warm, but not scalding hot, as you don't want to irritate your condition further. If you are having a hemorrhoid flare up try the soothing effects of warm water for some relief. You don't have to stay in the bath for too long, and ten or fifteen minutes at a time is usually enough. Taking frequent baths to keep the area clean is as important as relaxing and controlling your symptoms. Another method for helping hemorrhoids is to apply an ice pack to the anal area. This is a task that you must do many times each day for at least ten to fifteen minutes each time. This works the same way as applying ice on an wound because hemorrhoids are a type of inflammation that can be treated with cold pressure. Putting ice in a small zip lock bag is one way to have this done. This is really a recommended treatment for those that have hemorrhoids that really hurt and are swollen because this method can reduce the swelling and pain very quickly.

Yes, there are some situations in which these treatments are insufficient for a case of hemorrhoids. If, for example, you have extreme pain, a great deal of bleeding, or longstanding hemorrhoids that have not responded to ordinary treatments, your doctor may recommend surgery to remove the hemorrhoids.

Understandably, when you have hemorrhoids, you want relief yesterday and also want to find something that works - fast. Usually, you don't have to wait too long for the problem to clear up, especially if you apply one of the methods discussed above. You can try methods until you're happy, or of course you can go see your doctor for an effective prescription.
