When you consider getting a Yorkie you should keep in mind that these pets are not just cute small creatures. These pups are brave and intrepid especially when the question relates to their own living territory. This breed originally was created to catch rats so these pets have their own particular hunting temperament.

Later these dogs were taken as cute small pets for decoration and entertainment. Today, the rich frequently buy these cute dogs but in reality Yorkshire terriers should be trained properly to become positive and obedient pets. Owners should not treat them as small dogs and this is impermissible to be naughty with Yorkshire terriers.

These pups are active and cheerful. They need to play and run a lot to get rid of their excessive energy every day. The simple Yorkshire terrier's weight is seven pounds but there are tiny Yorkies that are significantly smaller in size.

If you are going to purchase a small teacup Yorkie you should understand that these dogs are prone to catch cold and have different health issues. These small teacup Yorkie puppies are fretful and they differ from usual Yorkshire terriers in character and behavior.

Yorkies have the traits of their ancestors to catch rats and be in dangerous situations. This behavior is evident as these dogs possess the same conduct while playing. Yorkie puppies love playing in a very energetic way so you should not snub their desire to play. You should train your dog and learn new commands to keep the dog busy.

Train the dog persistently and show it your prevalence and leadership to bring up an obedient pet. House training is a good idea. Yorkie puppies are small and should not be treated in a rough way physically. They are quite predisposed to various injuries, so treat them cautiously especially outside. Despite the fact that Yorkie puppies are house pets they should be taken outside to walk and play.
