2. Neutered cats are healthier and tend to live a longer time. Male cats that are neutered have a reduced chance to wander around or fight with other cats. This can cause a negative effect on females like giving birth to premature kittens.

3. Cats who live indoor have longer lifespan compared to cats living outside, experts say. When the cat is indoors, accidents, fights and diseases are avoided.

4. Cats' nutritional needs are different from dogs and humans. It is highly advisable that you give your cat the proper nutrition which contains all the minerals and vitamins cats need for a better health.

5. Make sure you do not make your cat heavy than what it should be. Aside from the right food, cats need exercise too. Exercise is fun in the form of play. Cats which are very fat will experience more feline diseases like diabetes.

6. Cats need supplements too, so you need to consult a vet. With sufficient vitamins and minerals as well as fibers, diseases can be prevented.

7. Teeth of cats need checking and this can be done during annual checkups. Their teeth require cleaning as well. Unclean teeth may cause kidney problems which could eventually cause other illnesses which ultimately lead to early death.

8. Combing must be a part of cat's grooming. When you are grooming the cat, make sure you pay attention for any irregularities in the skin of the cat. When you see anything unusual, bring the cat to the vet.

9. Be sure that you do not use dangerous cleaners in your house. Cats are known to be sensitive that their skin gets affected with even little harmful chemical . Try to use cleaners that are not poisonous, to play safe all the time. At the same time get rid of plants that are poisonous such as poinsettias.

10. Cats get stressed to so it is advisable that you have a place for him where he can relax. Stress may be in the form of loud noises, people and other animals.

Cats are exceptional pets. Giving what they need is very important. When you follow these tips, your cat will surely be healthy.
