Researching Red Nose Pitbulls For Sale

By Jerri Perry

There are many red nose pitbulls for sale through breeders around the entire country. Knowing the proper breeders to contact and the specifics to look for can assist you in your search for the perfect animal. Many rumors and myths exist about this particular breed but they are, for the most part, unfounded or highly exaggerated.

Ireland is where these spirited and tenacious dogs originated. They were specifically bred to attain this color. Originally, they were trained to be fighting dogs but this is no longer the case.

The color of this particular dog sets him apart but this is not a specific breed but rather a descriptive categorization of the breed as a whole. Just as poodles can be black, white, tan, brown or apricot in color, so this dog is also available in a variety of shades. Individuals decide on the type of animal they desire and then search far and wide for exactly what they have their hearts and minds set on.

These dogs are unjustly known as mean, aggressive, hostile, hot tempered, and unstable animals but they are actually playful, spirited, and loyal creatures. With plenty of attention and proper training, they make excellent family pets or working dogs. They are very good at pulling and love the opportunities to please their owners. They do need plenty of attention from family members and room for running, jumping and other exercise.

The origin of the name of these playful animals is from their physical characteristics, namely their red noses, paw pads and fur. Another very popular dog of this breed is blue in color - it is a highly sought animal and very much rarer than his red counterpart.

The red dogs are short-haired and tan and white, all red or reddish brown in color. Muzzles are pinkish or red and their eyes are sometimes lighter than that of other pit bulls. Shedding is minimal and their grooming is very low-maintenance in that all they need is a good brushing two or three times per week.

This particular breed can be prone to certain health issues. These problems can include cancer, hip dysplasia, allergies, and heart disease. Research and request information on the backgrounds of the parents and other close relatives. If parents are on property, ask to see and visually examine them. Request written documentation of any health problems that they may have had.

While making your final purchase, be sure to gather all the necessary paperwork from the breeders. These should include a report on all the immunizations and wormings received, a copy of the most recent health exam along with a certificate, and a health guarantee that is good for a specific number of years. If any registration papers are involved, request these also.

Finding the perfect red nose pitbulls for sale can be quite a challenge but well worth the effort. These majestic animals make lifelong companions as well as strong pull or guard dogs. They will make loyal pets and strong protectors for all in your household.
