Or you could need something more specific.

You also need to keep in mind that if you have a puppy, you shouldn t settle for an original shampoo that is meant for all dogs. Remember a puppy s skin is still sensitive and if you anything that is too harsh, it could cause damage. This is why there are specific shampoos for babies and others for bigger dogs. They are all made to combat specific needs and specific ages.

It is good to introduce your pup to loud noises from a young age, so they don t fear anything. Once they are done in the tub, wrap them up and wipe them gently. Once the water is soaked in the towel, you may want to use the hairdryer. Remember to set it at a low heat so that the skin doesn t burn. Use the lowest number so the sound is also not too high.

The same applies to get them used to go into the water. Some canines fear it whilst others love it and sometimes it is all about the way you introduced them to it. If you are using a shower hand, you may want to allow for a few squirts every few minutes and spend more time massaging the shampoo into their hair. Also, keep the water level at a decent level so they don t feel they will drown.

The one thing to bear in mind is when you are washing their heads and faces. Don t ever let the water go into the dog s ears. Their ears are quite sensitive and if it goes inside, it will cause a severe infection. It is best to support the head and block their eyes whilst you pour water down the back of their neck. Use a cloth to gently wipe their face.

If you are not sure about what to use or where to start, you can always visit your closest vet or grooming parlor. They have experience with this and can easily guide you on how to start. Use the vet to get all the right products and use the parlor to learn how to handle the dog when they are near water. Keep in mind they could be jumping around trying to escape and you don t want them to get hurt.

By following simple steps, you can turn these responsibilities into a beautiful memory to remember and share for the rest of your life.
