The Easy Way To Correct Bad Behavior In Birds?

By George V. Bolte

If you're frustrated with your feathery mate back home- don't worry. Birds may exhibit behavior issues or bad manners for a range of reasons. Here's a quick look at the easiest way to address the problem and help your buddy behave normally again.

Step 1 would be to hold your small bird in your hands. You have to hold it in a manner that you've got an eye contact with it. This bizarre eye contact would express your hate towards the behavior of the bird.

It is a parable that birds don't understand different expressions. They properly do so. It has been proved that birds are efficient in differentiating between expressions. If you express any type of detest through your gestures, the bird will understand it. So, be up front to show discontent to your bird with a frown or whatever you would like to. This is the only real way to tame your birdie.

It isn't only the facial expressions that work ; you may readily use words too. Express your outrage in words. But, try that you do not shout too much as that might frighten the pet to a significant degree. Take out a stern voice rather than a loud one. Ideal would be to use only few words, it would surprise you to see the reaction.

While you are endeavoring to correct bad behavior in birds, make sure that you never ever retort to physical abuse. Birds are intensely fragile and exerting even the slightest quantity of force can hurt them enormously or even lead to death of your pet bird. Besides, physical abuse might also lead to dreadful mental problems. Your bird may become more aggressive or depressed.

Also, desist from holding a grudge against your feathered buddy. While it is important to show your annoyance at any display of unacceptable behavior by your bird ; you shouldn't take it overboard by holding on to your fury for days on end. Any remedial measures should ideally be quick and to the point. On the other hand, lengthened negative attention might have an opposite affect and cause pointless emotional stress for your bird.

You shouldn't punish your bird at the price of compromising on their condition. Don't smoke around your pet just because you are annoyed as it can impact the physical health of the bird. Don't withhold the food or neglect cage cleaning just to deal with a behavioral problem.

Consistency is the ladder to success, be it correcting the behaviour of your bird or treating thrush. If you are not regular, even the best medication like Yeastrol would not benefit you. In a similar way, to teach manners to your bird you should apply the corrective on daily basis. This consistency will help you better cope with your pet bird.
