Installing A Dog Fence Houston Is A Good Idea

By Shawn Ray

All canine owners should install a dog fence Houston on their property in order to protect their pet and protect others from their pet. A wall keeps out stray dogs that can attack an pet owner's canine and keeps their canine from attacking dogs outside their territory. Many dogs are run over and killed by cars because the pet was allowed to run free in their yard unsupervised.

A pet owner can install an enclosure that will keep his canine in its territory and protected from running into the street and being run over. Many pet owners lose their pets each day because their property had no enclosure to keep their canine on their property. A pet enclosure will prevent the family pet from running away from its yard.

Canines are territorial animals. Canines instinctively protect their territory and if the canine has its own designated enclosed area the dog will protect the yard from intruders. Many people own a canine because they want an animal to warn and protect their home from intruders and a wall will help the canine more effectively protect the home.

A pet enclosure helps to limit the liability of the pet owner because the enclosure reduces the chance that the animal will leave the yard and bite a passerby. If a dog leaves its yard and attacks a passerby that person can sue the owner for damages. But if a trespasser jumps over the fence and is attacked by the family pet the trespasser has the burden of proof in court because he was on the premises illegally.

Some pet owners install a chain length fence so that the pet can see the outside world through the holes in the wall. But chain length enclosures are easily dug under so it is important the the enclosure is buried at least one foot underground. Make sure that the wall is high enough to keep the pet inside the yard because some dogs can easily jump over a short enclosure.

A wooden enclosure is the right type of wall if the dog has a tendency to bite people on the other side of the wall. People, usually children, will invariably stick their fingers through a chain length enclosure to pet the animal and if the animal has a biting tendency it will surely bite someone's fingers. The wooden enclosure might make a pet feel isolated but it might be a better choice if the animal has a tendency to bite.

Pet owners should think about installing a dog fence Houston in order to keep their animal from running into the street and being hit by a car. If the dog is in an enclosure the dog is less likely to attack a passerby and will be protected from stray dogs looking for a fight. The enclosure should be buried at least one foot underground to prevent the canine from digging its way out.
