Look For Cockapoo Puppies For Sale On The Internet

They were the first 'designer' dogs, only the breeders did not know them as such. They were, however, popular in the 1960's and '70s and have again made a comeback. You can find cockapoo puppies for sale in a lot of places, but make sure you are getting a healthy puppy from a reputable person.

Combining a cocker spaniel with a poodle created a happy little dog that could be less of a problem for those with allergies to dog hair. They quickly became a popular family pet, although they were not as popular with purists in the dog fancy.

There are many mixed breed dogs that look similar to a cockapoo and are deemed as such. But, either a breeding of a cocker spaniel to a poodle or true cockapoos will result in the actual breed itself. Many breeders have specialized in these dogs, having worked with them for years. There are lots of similar looking ones in shelters that would also make great pets, so that is also something to consider.

You can find a breeder advertising in the newspaper, in a pet magazine or online. But, make sure you are finding a reputable. Ask all of your prepared questions and be sure they will let you come see the parents and the siblings, so you can observe behavior, disposition and health.

Any puppy should have had at least its first vaccination before you take it home. Many have had their second set. This provides protection from various diseases once the puppy leaves its mother. However, a rabies vaccination can usually wait until the puppy is up to six months old.

True cockapoo puppies for sale can make wonderful pets. Be sure to check out local socialization and training classes. The person primarily responsible for the puppy should take the class with him, the owner needs the training as well. Having a dog, whether you are single or a family member, can be a rewarding experience.
