By Steve Arvil

Watching man's best friend agonize and perish from cancer is a very shocking event. It's very necessary to take effective steps to conserve your pet's life. I'm not just talking about getting him/her their shots and taking them to the vet regularly. I'm talking about their menu and nutrition regimen. What your pets absorb is the most crucial factor when it comes to keeping them healthy and content. If you would like to know more instantly then please click here.

I used to think that it was ok to give my furry friend the remains from my table and feed him primarily on those big name brand dog foods you obtain at the grocery store. Turns out, I was awfully wrong. I lost my dog Lucky over a month ago to cancer. I found the tips about dieting that could have redeemed him just days after he departed. Now I am devoting a good part of my life making sure other people don't have to suffer the sorrow I did.

The 1st tip I have is easy to understand but it takes a bit more effort to put into practice. Modify your dogs eating habits. Most of the dog food you will find at the store has a low amount of animal proteins and a high amount of grain or wheat as fillers. While this may be very cheap as a filler for the dog food companies, its not good for your furry friend at all. Canines miss the enzymes required to break down the cereals and this can lead to terrible medical backlashes later on. Canines are mainly meat eaters and they have to be fed as such. Animal proteins that are high in fat are the absolute choice for your companion. Try feeding them turkey or ground up beef with a minimal amount of grains added.

The second tip is to include dietary supplements or vitamins for your dog. This is even more crucial if your pet is diseased. Cancer will very rarely lead to your canine's passing. The secondary effects such as major organ failing due to the cancer is what your pet will perish from. One way to stop this is with the appropriate nutrition. Vitamin E, selenium and beta carotine are all very important to a dog's well-being. Inserting these in your pet's diet will go a long way towards healing and or stopping cancer in your dog.

These 2 tips could quite alter the quality of your canine's life for years to come. The proper menu and nutrition have also been known to increase the lifespan of a canine significantly! Now you have to ask yourself one question: How important is my dog's life to me?
