Dog Gift Baskets Share The Love With The Owner, Too

By Brittney Swanson

Dog gift baskets spread good will and affection like no other gift can. Sending a gift basket with accessories, goodies, a brush or bowl and various dog needs tells the person getting it that the other person is sending love and recognition of a most special bond. Show the love for pets and the respect for that love by sending a basket of treats that they owner might not buy for themselves.

There is such a variety of goods to be had for dog gift baskets. Bottles of shampoo and conditioner that now come in as many styles and colors as the human versions. And oftentimes, these baskets will have the more expensive brands a pet guardian might not indulge in. And nothing is more fun than getting something for the dog, unless that would be receiving it as a gift from someone else.

Other parts of dog care are not left out. Many baskets come with a brush or a comb or other grooming products. And it isn't just plain shampoo, there are conditioners created for breed specific usage as well.

A wide variety of treats and tasty bits are available for the little rascal. Dog-bone shaped treats are so yesterday. Pizza treats, bacon bites and a whole cupboard full of goodies can be included in the basket. And many of these goodies can be gotten in organic varieties as well.

Pets have their own diets and health to think about. There are breath mints and health supplements. And there are dental treats and chews specifically designed to keep the teeth clean.

Dog toys come in such a broad variety, one can barely keep up. Pull toys, squeak toys, some to be thrown, some to be chased and many, many other sorts and sizes abound for hours of indoor or outdoor fun. And they are solid and hearty to tolerate the smallest or largest dog's abuse. Fido will put those toys to the test the moment they are pulled from the dog gift baskets.

There are other day to day items to consider. A brand new bowl made of stainless steel or ceramic with a nice canine pattern painted on it can be the starter gift in the basket. Perhaps a picture frame on a dog theme for the owner to highlight the favorite photo of man's best friend. Tote bags can be had to cart all those toys. Stuffed animals come in the baskets often, even a stuffed dog that looks like the breed of the recipient.

There are human treats in dog gift baskets. Dog-themed gifts of wine and goodies are available to include in the basket. And very clever toys like extra large chew toys to prevent the canine member of the household from chewing up nice furnishings and clothes.

Oftentimes, people who own pets feel that those who do not own pets just do not understand what that bond is all about. Pets don't replace anything, they are a distinct source of companionship and friendship. Sending dog gift baskets validates that bond and recognizes the role of the dog in the recipient's life and the love they share.
