Helpful Dog Training Tool: Bark Collar

By Colin Seal

The bark collar is a generally held preference among dog keepers who choose devices that can actually resolve barking issues. Dog keepers also have a more complicated job of teaching these domesticated animals to be obedient. You must start from the simplest command till your pet becomes a guru in living by your commands.

Teaching Dogs about Dog Collars

In dog obedience training like teaching your pet about the bark collar, it is important to do the training in some place where there is no distraction such as your front or back yards. As the dog comes to learn, you can slowly increase the level of distraction. If you learn that your pet is replying positively to training, you can start incorporating rebounding balls, running around, singing or playing with the fuzzy pet.

Nonetheless this interruption shouldn't be used as a method of scaring your dog. Go to various locations. Once your dog learns how to obey commands at home, transfer to different places so it also will be easy for the animal to follow orders anywhere. Start giving orders when your pet is right in front of you and increase the distance as you progress. Review your progress on a regular basis to determine what should and should not be done.

When you are introducing a new command, observe the dog conscientiously. If it sits right after you bark out an order, you should praise your pet and give it a reward. The period of time that your dog should be asked to maintain that position must be increased gradually. It's very important to make sure that all dogs are snug during training sessions. Finish the training as quickly as you spot the dog as becoming impatient or failing to catch up with your instructions. Shorter sessions are advocated so you can end on a positive tone.

Obedience Training - Know the Basics

Introduce the simplest orders like sit, stand, jump and look. The dog should learn these by heart before you progress to the next step. It should be a step-by-step procedure or everything should be done continuously. It is not sensible to rush things since the dog is not a human and has a different way of thinking. This is the same for all of the other gadgets such as the bark collar. You cannot answer the problem of excessive barking in just one day. Everything will also rely on the kind of your dog.
