By Linda Ruiz

Kids and adults generally consider dogs as their best friends. These animals are cute that individuals could not resist them. A number of these animals have saved several lives even and are regarded as heroes.

All dogs, like humans, are also in need of proper care and maintenance. For your Australian Labradoodle, there are also several things that you need to keep in mind to ensure its proper growth. Caring for your dog is also similar to caring for a little child.

A chain of vaccinations should be administered to all domestic animals as they will make sure that the pets are free from sickness, especially rabies. This illnesses are very detrimental not only to their fellow animals but to human beings, as well. A veterinarian will be able to inject the vaccines to your pet in several sessions.

He needs to eat nutritious meals. It will be good to check with your veterinarian about the nutritional diet that he needs. There are several dog food brands filled with nutrients that will help in his total growth. They generally eat a lot so you might want to check for brands that could fit your budget. Water should also be provided after each meal.

Dogs are naturally curious. They chew on almost anything that they can get hold of and sniff things even if they should not be allowed to get close to them. Within your house, his safety should be ensured by putting away poisonous substances. There are also specific foods that should be eaten by dogs, in general. You can know more about these foods from your veterinarian.

Even when the puppy is playing outside, you should also be able to keep him safe. He should not fit into any holes in your fences so you have to make sure that they are durable. Nails and other pointy things should also be stored properly so that he cannot eat them.

Proper grooming is a necessity, as well. Lots of bath soaps and dog shampoos are available out there. He needs to take a bath and should be shampooed and cleaned from his head down to his toes. A towel will then help in drying him afterwards. The feathers should be combed if he has long ones. This way, he will be clean and free from dog lice.

Aside from the body, there are also other parts that you need to take care of such as the ears, the teeth, and the nails. The ears should be cleaned carefully as they are one of most sensitive parts of a dog. For the teeth, there are chewable items that could help whiten his teeth. His nails should also be trimmed so as not to hurt you or those individuals who want to cuddle him.

Ultimately, he should be a trained pet. He does not know the difference between what is right or what is wrong and will likely do what they want. You should enforce obedience and potty training while the puppy is still very young. You should talk to him like he is a person. He may not be able to comprehend what you are talking about but it will give him an assurance that you will protect him and take care of him.
