Although they are working on the same industry, but they only differ in the field they have specialized. If you are interested in this career, you have to prepare yourself for a long journey in school. This is because, you need to undergo 10 years of education and training prior to your practice. Once you graduate with an undergraduate degree, you are still required to further your education by completing the four year degree of medical school. A residency and internship also takes at least three to four years to complete.

You will be learning different aspects in medicine for several years. You will learn about pediatrics, internal medicine, and gynecology. You also need to undergo additional 2 to 3 years of learning the process of diagnosing and treating several types of conditions. Moreover, you should also obtain your license to continue practicing your medicine.

You also need to take your courses from an accredited school before you take the licensing exam. You are also required to obtain your certification, since endocrinology is a specialty. This is important for you to practice your profession. You can obtain your certificate if you have completed your eduction as well as your residency training.

Actually, this profession is a noble one and can be rewarding in the end. If you really want to become a doctor in this specialization, then you have to assess yourself first if this is really what you want. If so, then prepare your education, undergo training, and obtain license in order to practice your specialization.
