Made In USA Dog Treats For Small Canines

By Katelyn Buckner

Large breed canine owners want their beloved four-footed family fellows to be around as long as possible. This is why they feed them the best possible type of nutritious foods, all the more so at reward times. Giving your puppies and elder canines made in USA dog treats shows you care about their well-being.

The choice to purchase chews and bully sticks made with natural and organic parts is one your pup will thank you for again and again. Dogs love food that tastes good such as turkey, salmon and lamb. If you feed them this type of hearty food at mealtime, shouldn't their incentive-time nibbles be just as healthy?

Wholesome and natural ingredients, grown in this country, are less likely to create problems for dogs with sensitivity issues. Many puppies and older dogs can have food allergies which could cause skin irritation, stomach upset and some more serious issues. Knowing what is in your pet's biscuits and where the ingredients came from will help avoid harming your dog.

Just as you and your family enjoy delightful foods, you will want to give your puppy or dogs healthy eats, too. Something made with carrots, oatmeal, brown rice, potatoes and flax-seed will fill him up nicely at snack time. White rice is often bleached whereas brown rice and these other foods are easier on a canine's gastrointestinal tract.

Read the labels on your canine's biscuits not only for the country of manufacturing, but the state of ingredients as well. Avoid cookies containing soy, corn and wheat as they can cause harm to your puppy over time. The same goes for poultry by-products which are the leftover parts of chickens and turkeys.

According to a special document released in 2011, it noted the increase in shipments of canine food snacks from China to North America. There were exactly zero shipments logged in 2000, but by 2011, the imported canine food snacks from China to North America was slightly higher than 85 million pounds. The reason given was there is an abundance of white meat portions discarded because China's population will eat only the chicken's dark meat.

Unfortunately, there is no governmental agency in China or any other of the overseas suppliers of pet food commerce which supervise or check the quality. Besides snacks and meal type foods for dogs, fruits and vegetables for humans having tainted parts have harmed Americans. When a ban on pet food and pet snack items from China and other countries takes effect, the US economy will become stronger within several months.

When you set out to buy cookies for your canine, be sure they are made in USA dog treats. Purchasing dog snacks from this country may not remove all the risk of possibly contaminated merchandise; however it should cut down the chances considerably. Keeping your puppy happy and safe is worth taking an extra moment to read the label for country of origin.
