A well balanced diet is important to maintain health. These dogs are known for their appetites so it is critical that you find the right food so that they do not become overweight. You can turn to your doctor or you can talk to the breeder for this concern. You may have to try different products to discover what is best for your pet.

Exercise should be incorporated into the daily routine. The dogs need this exercise or they could have problems with their weight. They are pretty playful especially when they are still puppies. A good game of frisbee or fetch should give them a nice workout. You can schedule daily strolls or you can let your dog run free in the yard.

These dogs love to play so buying a few toys will be ideal. You will need these chew toys to ensure that they keep of your furniture. You will need a special shampoo for their hair and a bristle brush for his mane. You will need at least two bowls, one for food and the other for water.

When your dog is tired, he will need a place to rest. A crate can be bought so that he can have space of his own. While this can seem very restrictive, note the advantages. You can keep your puppy safe inside the house and he will have a place to sleep in. Moreover, when you are not there to supervise, you will not have to worry about the puppy getting intro trouble.

Getting insurance for your pet is also a good idea. Diagnosis and treatments can be very expensive and this can easily exceed your monthly budget. If your pet gets sick, you may not have the money to pay it. Having a coverage to lean back on will be helpful.

English labradors make good addition to most households but they do you need your attention and care. You will be responsible for giving them enough food, for exercising them and for taking care of their other needs. Check with your veterinarian to ensure that your dog has no health problems.
