Raising a pet is not easy. But if you do it right while giving them the love that they deserve, the rewards will be great. Not only are pets loyal. They can actually be a good company at home if you train them. Certain types of dogs, which we consider as mans best friend can also be great guards at home.

The most notable attribute of this breed is its easy going attitude. It is playful and can easily deal with people even strangers. It also goes along well with other dog. It is affectionate to owners who show kindness to them and will most likely want your attention a lot of times.

When at home, you may find them following you around. Do not worry if they do so. It is part of their habit. Besides, they are just fine even when you do not attend to them at that moment. It is important to remember though that these dogs are not good in dealing with heat. They are prone to heat exhaustion. So be sure not to place them outside your house on a hot day. It is generally recommended to have them stay in an air conditioned area during hot season.

They need daily walks. If you have regular exercise in the morning yourself, then bringing Frenchies out with you is a good idea. Walking helps them regulate proper weight. The good thing is they do not need too much exercise. As long as you stick to this plan, then it should be good enough. They are intelligent. So if you wish to teach them tricks and the like, you may do so.

You do not have to worry as well if you have children at home. This type does very well with children. In fact, they are good companies for your kids. They are likable among the young ones. For safety measures, it is still recommended that you check on them from time to time, but generally, you can do your own work while you let them play.

Fifth, they easily attract different diseases.One thing, which others see as a disadvantage in raising this breed, is its tendency for diseases. Aside from heatstroke, they are also prone to health defects like eye problems and joint diseases. It may be good to expect higher vet expenses when disease strikes this breed.

It is right to say that this group may be of high maintenance. If you are not mindful enough in raising them, you will find yourself visiting the vet from time to time. Ask a professional breeder on the proper way to raise it before you make the purchase.
