Last night The Jaguar Land Rover Agency in Minneapolis held a wonderful event where they displayed their new dog park on location at the agency. They've a lot of land and made great use of their property.
The great majority of people expect to drag up and see some cars...we get that. But one thing you wouldn't expect, is to see a dog park. When you concentrate on it, folk travel in their automobiles with their pets every day, and often you are less inclined to stop somewhere if you know your pet will need a potty break. Here is where we cue the Land Rover dealership. These fellows thought this thru and realized the best thing they could do to bring the people in and keep them there while they negotiated a deal was to supply a place for the pooches to go.
This was not only your standard event where you invite people in for a meet and greet. This was a doggie-centric event that contained just about 100 dogs of all sorts and over 150 folks. There was a dog grooming station that provided a free nail trimming service, a ribbon cutting ceremony, and even a total doggie fashion show.
In addition to all of the above, they also had Greg Gagne host an auction to give away a few incredible packages that were donated to the event. All of the proceeds from the evening went to benefit the Animal Humane Society!
http://craveamerica.com/press/?cat=66HUNGER FOR Catering provided an incredible growth of food and drinks for the guests. Some of the other very generous sponsors included Loll Designs, Hoigaard's, Lucy Activewear, Yum! Kitchen and Bakery, Smooth Living Magazine, and Adogo Pet Hotels.
Thanks to everyone who came and supported this great event! It was fantastic seeing all of the people, and some very good dogs!
