A Closer Look At Cockapoo Puppies

By Thelma Kent

Having a dog in the house will definitely turn your life around in a positive light. They will offer you love, security, and loyalty. A breed that has turned out to be rather popular for its cute appearance and loving personality is the cockapoodle, also known as cockapoo. If you are thinking of getting a new pet, then you should definitely try looking at cockapoo puppies.

As the term implies, the cockapoodle is an offspring of the cocker spaniel and the poodle. In fact, they inherited some of the best characteristics from both breeds. Like a cocker spaniel, cockapoodles are generally loving and gentle creatures. You should not worry about having them around kids because they typically have a stable temperament.

When compared to the poodle, they will not require as much attention with regards to grooming. Cockapoodles are generally considered as non-shedding dogs, which will be good if you have family members who are hypersensitive. Also, dog odor should not be a problem for this breed. You will simply need to brush his hair everyday in order to prevent knots and tangles.

The best environment for him to stay in is a house which includes a fenced lawn. Here, he will be able to run about and get some exercise. If you are residing in an apartment, you will want to put aside a couple of minutes everyday to bring your dog for walks. Exercise is significant for all types of dogs to prevent obesity and health diseases.

It is a personal duty to make sure that you get a pet from an experienced breeder. You should ask him to show proof of health clearances from the father and mother. This will show that both parents have been tested for wide-spread health issues.

There are several factors that you should consider when looking at cockapoo puppies. Welcoming a new puppy into the family will definitely bring about added responsibilities to your life. However, you will see that it will all be worth it in the end.
