In terms of performance, this breed of dog can be really relied on. It is a very smart breed that can always tell what its master expects done and eagerly waits for instruction to do it. In case the owners keep it for a particular reason, it then needs to be trained. This training is best offered when the dogs are very young. This enables them to get used to what is expected of them at a very early age and grow doing just that.

These animals usually like staying very active. Therefore, they always like involving themselves in many playful activities. This makes them excellent playmates for young children. They are fond of very young children and enjoy guarding them. Some families usually leave them in charge of young babies while they are away. This is because they have even been trained on how to know that a child is hungry and avail food to them.

This breed also loves interacting with people. As a result, it has learnt all the members of the family to which it belongs, their likes, dislikes and even behavior. As such, they can easily identify strangers. But when the strangers are in the company of family members, they are totally not aggressive to them.
