Some of the most known breeds of non-shedding cats are the Cornix Rex. They may look as somewhat different as the other cats since they exhibit no fur whatsoever. Some that does have coats have too little fur that makes it seem invincible.

The coat is incredibly close to the body and soft to the touch, prompting comparisons to cut velvet, rabbit fur or silk. This breed of cat also has a very distinctive head and body type, featuring rather large ears which are set high on a smaller egg-shaped head. They have very high cheekbones and hollow cheeks, and a body with an arched back and very long, fine legs.

The nature of these types of cat is known to be highly fond of humans and is extremely calm and composed. They are known to be affectionate to humans especially to young ones. Although this breed has no fur, you should still watch out for attacks of hypoallergenic reactions.

This is why for people with allergies to fur, you may still have a fair chance to get irritated to these breeds of feline.

Another example of a non-shedding cat breed that is famous is a Devon Rex. This cat breed has a physique that fits in a fur of finely loose tangles and twists. These features define a cat breed that exhibits a character like no other.

It is definitely one of the favored cat breeds, and they tend to average anywhere from six to nine pounds. The coat varies greatly from one cat to another, and can range from an almost shaggy mop of loose curls to a thin almost suede-like coat in others that may even leave some of their areas nearly bare.

This breed of feline is definitely fit for those with allergies to fur as well as for those who are too lazy to clean up their cat's fur.
