If you are planning to have a Yorkie puppy, then you need to know several things about this breed. For the beginning, it is necessary to mention that Yorkshire terrier seems unconcerned about their small stature, although they are one of the smallest dogs known these days.

As a rule, dogs of this breed are full of mischief and loveable as well as it can be said that they are the 'great dogs' in little body. And so they are great pets for families of various sizes.

If you want to introduce Yorkie puppy into a family with some other dogs, the Yorkie will fast become the leader of the group. Frankly speaking, the Yorkie's fearlessness makes these dogs great watchdogs. However, you should bear in mind that some special care should be exercised with new Yorkie puppy. However, you should know that there are different health risks that are commonly associated with this breed. Very often Yorkies have different problems with eyes, liver, trachea and knees. But if you get your puppy from a trusted breeder, all these health problems are less common.
