Difference between the Sauna and Steam Shower

Steam shower and sauna are globally renowned for their health rewards and their efficiency to conquer many health related difficulties. Even if sauna and steam rooms are different, both of them almost have similar benefits. They are implemented in a closed room with the help of high temperature. The only distinction between the two of these methods is moisture. Saunas employ dry method and steam room employs steam or moisture in their process. Health benefits of sauna and steam shower are known from centuries. Both are helpful in promoting the circulation of blood, detoxification, improving skin, as well as other respiratory problems.

The primary distinction between sauna and steam shower is the fact that, sauna consists of dry heat while steam bathroom uses moisture or steam to maximize the temperature. Sauna is made of wood with wooden benches and could accommodate more than one people. An individual perspires in both the methods but in sauna it's evaporated while in steam bathroom it doesn't get evaporated which makes the room hotter compared to saunas.

Studies demonstrate that sauna and steam bath helps with increasing the pulse rate almost 30%. This may cause the heart to pump more blood and so, improves the blood flow. Both of them are very effective in purifying the body. They help the body to discharge all of the toxins by means of sweat. The detoxifying effect allows the body to release toxins, open pores as well as provide a deep purifying benefit for the skin. This results in a healthy and glowing skin. It shows excellent effects in the acne prone skins and also pimples.

Just as increased temperature brings about the effect of fever in the body, this results in the release of antibodies that combat the microorganisms. As a result this improves the defense mechanisms of the body. These methods can also be very helpful in reducing weight. Saunas are more effective in contrast to steam bath in case of weight loss. The high temperature enhances the metabolic rate so helping in shedding off unwanted fat.

Steam bath has a drawback since it is done under the moist conditions; it becomes a suitable atmosphere for the bacteria to grow and flourish while the sauna doesn't allow even the sweat to stay on the body and curbs the growth of bacteria. However each methods are quite beneficial and have a variety of benefits. There are lots of disorders that are caused due to the clogging of mucus in the respiratory organs. These therapies dissolve the mucus that is drained out from the body and improves the respiratory functions. This is one of the best steam room benefits. Whereas in sauna the dry air may choke the respiratory pipe and create complications.
