Once they have grown accustomed to being in the crate with the gate open, close the door and offer the dog a treat. Start small, like at 10 seconds per approach, slowly increase the time they are inside. If you notice the animal becoming tense or confused, you are going too fast.

Make sure a reward is always handy for whenever your dog does something successfully. You want your pet to know they did the right thing. This helps the dog understand what to do and what is wrong.

These treats must differ from ordinary treats, since you need to express a specialness that will encourage your canine to follow your commands to receive these special treats.

A well-fed dog who has access to enough food and toys for entertainment is much less likely to dig in the trash. Empty your trash regularly, especially if they contain mean and/or bones.

Take your dog outside every hour to help teach him this is where you want him to use the bathroom at least once each hour.Give him praise when he makes waste outside. Never react harshly to your dog for going potty inside. He doesn't know any better yet and punishment would serve no purpose.

When teaching a dog to sit, have your dog remain standing while the treat is held in front of him. Pass the treat over their head as you move your hand moves behind them. The dog will have to look up in order to follow the treat. Dogs naturally sit when doing this.
