Treatment For Gout

The most common gout treatment is a change of diet. Foods low in sodium and purine are considered the best to fight gout. The most basic ones are fruits and vegetables. Cauliflower, asparagus and mushrooms are great foods that can lower the uric acid content in the body and even provide some benefits in return in the end.

There are many fruits such as cherries, strawberries and tomatoes that help treat gout. Eating these foods everyday will work wonders for treating gout; they might even eliminate the needs for medication.

Along with avoiding these certain foods, drink lots of fluids to flush out the uric acid. In this case water will be okay. Drinking eight glasses of water a day will help clear the body of excess uric acid.
