Types of Electric Dog Fence in Today's Market

By Joe Maldonado

Every dog lover wants to be absolute certain about the types of electric dog fence available in today's market because its better to know about the product in advance before fetching it from the market. This article also focuses on the types of these fences found in the market.

Normally the first type of electric dog fence you find in the market is known as invisible type of electric fence. The invisibility means that it is not visible to the naked eye when planted under the ground. You can easily bury the wire in a specific area and it would act invisibly to protect your dog incase it crosses that area. It creates a virtual type of invisible boundary for your favorite pet. If the dog moves beyond the limits, it would give out mild electric shocks to the dog in a way giving warning signs to the dog to not cross the limits.

Another type of widely used electric dog fence consists of a dog collar that can pick radio wave signals. In fact the main theme of both types of electric fences is same i.e. to restrict the dog to a certain area but they work in different ways to achieve the same objective. The second type of electric fencing emits radio wave signals in the dog collar if he accidently comes near the electric fence boundary. The dog has to take these warning tones seriously; otherwise he would again face the shocking electric experience.

Hence it becomes clear from above explanation that both types of fences are made to deprive your dog from crossing the defined limited area. Don't fret about the health of your dog due to electric shocks as these shocks are not detrimental to health. But of course they would give some unpleasant horrid experience in order to teach him a lesson not to come across the boundary next time in future. In other words, your dog would be trained not to escape the yard in future.

The electric dog fence has multifarious advantages which you can't get from conventional dog fence. As in case of a traditional dog fence, you are not required to build a huge walled fence with a gate which would cause a big dent into your savings as well. But in the case of electric dog fence, all you need to do is to plant an invisible thing under the ground to discourage your dog from going outside the defined limits.

The dog would be automatically trained with the beep sound coming out of his collars within a month or so. He has the ability to relate this type of sound with the electric shocks in few weeks. The dog would soon associate the beep sound with the boundary limits and it would immediately turn back on hearing the beep sound. You can also take the liberty to use this type of fence inside your rooms to contain your dog inside a room as well.
