Small Decorative Ceramic Pet Urns

By Melody Lyons

Choosing the best final resting place for your small animal can be a difficult solution. Lovely pet urns for small animals are a beautiful way to keep them close to your heart without having them in the ground. Your beloved dog or cat will always be in your home, and be a part of your life.

Many dog and cat owners have more trouble with the cremation part of their animal passing then they do with choosing a final resting place. When it comes to cremation, people do not realize that it does not hurt your dog or cat. It is a natural way to preserve their remains and keep them close to your heart.

Another issue many animal owners have trouble with is euthanasia. Putting your dog or cat to sleep is a difficult decision. However, it is a loving and humane process that helps them stop their suffering. Everyone, animals and humans alike, would all like to pass away of natural causes, but most never do.

Once the dog or cat has been put to sleep, the vet and her technician will take the body with them to the crematorium. The person in charge there will label the animal's body to make sure there is no mix up of the remains. After the cremation is complete, they are placed in a small container until you are ready to put them in their final resting place.

Each of the containers which will hold the remains of the beloved dogs or cats can be decorated in any style an animal owner wishes. Many people choose to put their dog or cats name in the center of the container with hearts, bouncy balls or other toys surrounding their name. If the dog was a working dog or hunting dog, they might choose to have this represented on the container as well.

Small decorative metal pet urns are a wonderful final resting place for your dog or cat. They will always be a part of your heart, but having them physically with you can be of some comfort. Placing their container in a place of honor in your home will be a constant reminder of their importance.
