Case Study: How To Get Better Kittens

By Joshua Ramcharran

Cats are very independent and do what they please but that does not diminish the fact that they still need to be trained. Without training, cats will just do what they do naturally and they will not think it is wrong in the slightest bit to misbehave and scratch up your furniture. Same goes with dogs; if they are not trained they can easily cause chaos within the house.

Everyone knows that not only is it hard to give cat instructions but they do not need it because of their amazing instincts. So instead of trying to teach them how to use a litter box, you have to make the litter box look appealing so they will use it on their own. The same goes for when they scratch up your stuff, they are just trying to keep their claws nice and strong, they are not trying to make up upset in any way at all, in fact that is most likely the furthest thing from their minds.

However, if you get your pet cat its very own post to scratch on, then it will most likely use that instead of your furniture. Cats do like the smell of air fresheners that are lemon scented and will try to keep out of places that you sprayed. The more you understand how your feline buddy's instincts work the easier it will be to keep one as a pet. A dog cannot take care of self like a cat can and is totally reliant on their owner for everything from attention to training, so as you can imagine taking a care of a dog is harder than taking care of a cat. There are people that believe it can be hard to form a strong bond with a cat but if you simply spend time with them they will grow to trust you and a lasting bond will be formed.

Getting that perfect cat is just as simple as knowing what to do. If you cat has bad habits that are simply aggravating like urinating anywhere and everywhere and scratching up expensive furniture, do not worry because this guide will put a stop to that, just try to do the simple things like making the litter box appealing. It's also a wise investment to get your cat a scratching post so he or she doesn't scratch up the furniture.

There is are large selection of tips and advice to help things go easier. Understanding is the key for having a strong and lasting bond. If treated right your cat will return the favor tenfold.
