A Review Of Mark Hornfeld

By Paulette Hart

Mark Hornfeld is an eye surgeon. His specialty is cataract surgery, but his services also include surgery for improving eyesight without the need of glasses or contacts. He has been working in ophthalmology for over twenty years. He is board certified by the prestigious American Board of Ophthalmology.

He is also a very busy man. He successfully runs a thriving private practice in New York. But in addition to this, he is a resident surgeon at four different institutions. The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the MacKool Eye Institute, and Fifth Avenue Surgicenter all enjoy the expertise of Dr. Hornfeld. He also is a resident at the Gotham Lasik Center.

But he does not stop there. His work extends to the realm of nonprofit charitable groups as well. After his internship with the Brooklyn Jewish/Interfaith Medical Center, he spent some time working with the very poor in India. Currently he supports the work of a charitable foundation known as The Hunger Project. Another group, known as The Global Investment Group, does work throughout the world helping those in need. He donates his time to this organization as well.

In his private practice, he uses an alternative to laser treatment to correct eyesight as much as possible. He provides a welcome alternative to contacts and glasses. And he teaches this technique to doctors interested in doing the same.

He is no stranger to social media. He demonstrates that he understands change is part of life. He posts regularly on the Twitter social network. His tweets provide links to information regarding ophthalmological interests and techniques in surgery.

His tweets are also very practical and approachable. He posts links that you can follow to see if you need corrective surgery. His tweets also include statements by former patients who call him helpful and detailed in his care. If you are looking for corrective eye surgery and live in the New York area, Mark Hornfeld is the man to watch.
